Who we are?

The Nosara Foundation for Progress is a non-profit organization registered under Costa Rican law that aims to promote development and progress for the people of Nosara, based on the principles of self-reliance, self-responsibility, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and the promotion of private investments.

Nosara is gaining worldwide attention as a
fast-growing community, which still lacks many services, infrastructure and policies that other similar beach towns in Costa Rica.

Nosara also has set its own development
standards, which are more eco-friendly that other communities, and therefore require more participation in order to provide the proper balance between long-lasting residents, newcomers, tourists, investors, and the environment.

The Nosara town, where locals live, is located at the edge of the Nosara river, which due to bad urban policy, is very prone to flooding.
